What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the adaptation of the compressor bypass valve, meaning the learned values that control it. The fault concerns a signal that stays constantly high. The code is stored when an adaptation value falls outside the predefined range, and
Possible causes
- The bypass valve adaptation value is outside the predefined range
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connections to the bypass valve are fully seated and free from corrosion
- 3Look for dirt and clean the compressor throttle if needed
- 4Have a workshop reset the adaptation once the mechanical side is in order, then confirm with a road test that the code does not come back
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
