ECM-P010F00 - Mass or Volume Air Flow Sensor A/B Correlation. General Failure Information. No sub type information
System
Engine Control Module (ECM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
2 modelsS80 (2007–), V70 (2008–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The ECM continuously measures the airflow in the intake system with the mass air flow sensor and compares that reading with a calculated value. The code is stored when the difference is too large.
Possible causes
- Air leak in the intake system
- Contact resistance or oxidation on the signal wire
- Fault with the mass air flow sensor
- Damaged mass air flow sensor
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connectors at the mass air flow sensor are fully engaged and free from oxidation
- 3Look for leaks in the intake system, such as cracks and loose clamps on the hoses
- 4If you have diagnostic equipment, compare the air flow from the mass air flow sensor with the engine load in live data at idle
- 5If the fault remains after leaks have been ruled out, have a workshop check the mass air flow sensor
Symptoms you may notice3
- Text message in the display
- The car lacks power and runs poorly
- Engine warning lamp (check engine) lit or behaving abnormally
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
