What does this fault code mean?
This is a collective code for electrical faults on the oxygen sensor in bank 1, sensor 2, and its heater. The code always appears together with another diagnostic trouble code for the rear oxygen sensor and never on its own. It is therefore a secondary fault: fix the underlying fault first, then clear this code.
Possible causes
- Another diagnostic trouble code for the rear oxygen sensor is stored in the engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Read all fault codes in the control module and start with the other code for the oxygen sensor
- 2Repair the underlying fault according to that code, then clear this code
- 3Road test the car and read the fault codes again to see whether it comes back
