What does this fault code mean?
The ECM tracks fuel temperature via the sensors in the injectors and compares their values with each other. The code is set when one of the sensors shows a different value from the other three, with the engine running.
Possible causes
- Cylinder 3's injector is damaged
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read the fuel temperature from each injector in live data with the engine running and see whether one of them differs from the others
- 3If live data shows that the injector for cylinder 3 differs, have a workshop check it
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
