What does this fault code mean?
The control module (ECM) compares the fuel temperature readings from the sensors in the injectors with each other. The code is set when one of the sensors shows a different value from the other three, which may be caused by a damaged injector on cylinder 4. The fault normally gives no noticeable symptoms for the driver.
Possible causes
- Damaged injector on cylinder 4
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then run the engine for a while to see whether it returns
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the temperature from each injector in live data and see which one differs from the other three
- 3Check that the connector to the injector on cylinder 4 is secure and free from oxidation
- 4If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the injector on cylinder 4
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
