What does this fault code mean?
The code concerns the fuel temperature from one of the sensors in the injectors deviating. The engine control module compares the sensors with each other, and when one of them gives a value that differs from the other three, the code is set. The cause may be a damaged injector on cylinder 2.
Possible causes
- Damaged injector on cylinder 2
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then run the engine for a while to see whether it returns
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the temperature from each injector in live data and see whether cylinder 2 deviates from the others
- 3Check that the connector to the injector on cylinder 2 is secure and free from oxidation
- 4If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the injector on cylinder 2
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
