What does this fault code mean?
This code applies to bank 2 and is set when any of the four pressure sensors in the injectors gives a signal above the highest permitted value. The pressure sensor in the injector on cylinder 2 may be the cause.
Possible causes
- Poor connection with looseness or oxidation in the connections
- Faulty pressure sensor in the injector on cylinder 2
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and start the engine to see whether it returns
- 2Check the connector to the injector on cylinder 2 for looseness, oxidation and damage
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the pressure from each injector in live data and see whether cylinder 2 reads high compared with the others
- 4If the fault remains, a workshop with diagnostic equipment should check the pressure sensor in the injector on cylinder 2
Symptoms you may notice3
- Uneven idle
- The engine stalls, both at idle and while driving
- The Check engine lamp lights up or behaves abnormally
