What does this fault code mean?
The ECM monitors the fuel system and has found a faulty signal coming from the injection valves. The fault may be in a damaged injector, in the wiring to the injectors or in an injector of the wrong type. The code is general, so several possible causes need checking.

- Damaged injection valve
- Injection valve of the wrong type fitted
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2If an injector has recently been replaced or fitted, check that it is the correct type for the engine
- 3Check that the injector connectors are secure and free from corrosion
- 4With a multimeter, check that the injector wires are not shorted to each other or to ground
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the injectors with diagnostic equipment and replace any that are damaged
