What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the signal wire to the turbo control valve, which is the wastegate A solenoid. The fault is set when the control module detects a break in that wire.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Open circuit in the supply wire
- Damaged turbo control valve
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check the fuse for the circuit. Fuse locations are shown in the owner's manual
- 3Look at the turbo control valve connector for oxidation, loose connections and chafing
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: activate the turbo control valve and check that it responds
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the wiring and the turbo control valve with diagnostic equipment
