What does this fault code mean?
This is an event controlled code, which is information rather than a fault in the control module where it is active. The ECM sets the code when it interprets the signal from the exhaust camshaft sensor on bank 1 as faulty, and the code disappears when the conditions no longer apply.
Possible causes
- Another fault that this code is a follow-on to
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in the engine control module with a diagnostic tool and start with the one that concerns the root fault on the camshaft sensor.
- 2Fix the root fault first, then read the fault codes again, since this code may then disappear.
- 3The code does not need to be erased separately. It disappears by itself when the conditions no longer apply.
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
