What does this fault code mean?
This is an event-driven information code. The ECM has found a faulty fuel level sensor, but the code does not indicate a fault in the ECM itself. It is a secondary fault linked to other codes and disappears when the conditions no longer apply, so it does not need to be cleared separately.
Possible causes
- Fault registered in the central electronic module (CEM)
- Damaged fuel level sensor
What you can do
- 1Remedy the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) first, since this code is a secondary fault
- 2Do not clear the code separately. It disappears when the conditions no longer apply
- 3Road test the vehicle after the repair and check whether the code has gone
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, read the fuel level via the CEM and check whether the signal is reasonable
- 5If the code remains after the CEM fault codes are remedied, have a workshop check the fuel level sensor
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
