What does this fault code mean?
The code concerns a comparison failure in the fuel level sensor signal. The engine control module (ECM) has registered that the sensor signal is faulty, and most of the diagnosis is carried out in the central electronic module (CEM). The code is general, so it does not specify what kind of fault it is.
Possible causes
- The fault is registered in the central electronic module (CEM)
- Damaged fuel level sensor
What you can do
- 1Start by reading the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) and remedy them
- 2Check the connections to the fuel level sensor and make sure the connectors are secure
- 3Check that the fuses are intact. Their locations are given in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 4If nothing is found in the wiring and connectors, the sensor is what remains to suspect, and a workshop replaces it
- 5Clear the fault code when the fault has been remedied, and road test
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
