What does this fault code mean?
The code indicates that the fuel level sensor signal is below the allowable range, and it concerns a bus or message failure. The ECM has registered that the sensor is faulty, and most of the diagnosis takes place in the central electronic module (CEM).
Possible causes
- The fault is logged by the CEM
- The fuel level sensor is damaged
What you can do
- 1Check the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) first, and troubleshoot according to them
- 2Inspect the connections and wiring to the fuel level sensor
- 3With a multimeter, check that the wires to the fuel level sensor have no open circuit
- 4If the wiring and connectors show no fault, the sensor is the last suspect. A workshop replaces it
- 5Clear the fault code once the fault has been remedied, and road test
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
