What does this fault code mean?
Before the engine starts, the ECM compares the value from the oil pressure and oil temperature sensor with two other pressure sensors, the atmospheric pressure sensor and the boost pressure sensor. The code is set when the oil pressure sensor reading differs from the other two. The fault lies in the sensor, which is damaged and must then be replaced.

- Damaged oil pressure and oil temperature sensor
What you can do
- 1Leave the engine switched off for a while, then switch the ignition on without starting the engine
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, read the oil pressure and oil temperature values in live data and compare them with the atmospheric and boost pressure sensor values
- 3If the reading differs greatly, the sensor is faulty and needs replacing
- 4If the reading does not differ too much, the fault may be intermittent. Then check the connector and wiring to the sensor for loose contact or damage
- 5Clear the code and start the car to see whether the code returns
- 6If the code returns after the sensor has been replaced, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the sensor signal and the wiring
