What does this fault code mean?
The ECM monitors the signal from the A/C pressure sensor. If the signal is missing, the code is set and the module then uses a predefined value for the A/C pressure. The fault may be a break in the signal wire or a damaged pressure sensor.
Possible causes
- Break in the signal wire
- Damaged A/C pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Check the A/C pressure sensor connector for contact resistance and oxidation
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to the A/C pressure sensor has no break
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the A/C pressure in live data with the engine running and the A/C on, and check that a value is shown
- 4Check that the fuses are intact
- 5Clear the code and start the engine with the A/C on to see whether it returns
- 6If the code returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the pressure sensor
Symptoms you may notice1
- The A/C system does not work
What the fault can affect1
- A predefined value for the A/C pressure is used instead
