What does this fault code mean?
On bank 2 the code is set when the exhaust camshaft angle during warm-up after a cold start is less than requested. The cause may be poor engine oil, low oil pressure, or a damaged control valve or VVT unit.

- Poor engine oil quality
- Low oil pressure
- Damaged camshaft control valve
- Damaged VVT unit
What you can do
- 1Check the engine oil quality and look for contamination in it
- 2Have a workshop check the oil pressure
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, compare the actual exhaust camshaft position with the requested one in live data while the engine warms up
- 4Clear the code and start the engine when it is cold, and see whether the code comes back
- 5If the code returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control valve and the VVT unit on bank 2
