What does this fault code mean?
The ECM monitors the cruise control function. The fault is stored when the signal used to set the speed from the cruise control button panel is faulty while the engine is running. The cruise control function is then switched off.
Possible causes
- A cruise control button or buttons have stuck
- Faulty signal from the cruise control button panel
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Press the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel a few times and check that they return fully
- 3Check that the connector to the button panel is firmly seated and not corroded
- 4If you have diagnostic equipment: read the status of the set signal in live data and check that it changes when the button is pressed and released
- 5If the button panel and connector are in order, have a workshop check the cruise control button panel
