What does this fault code mean?
The ECM monitors the cruise control function. The fault is stored when the information from the cruise control button panel is faulty, or when an excessive torque is requested. The function is then switched off.
Possible causes
- CAN fault on the signal between the ECM and the lever assembly
- Internal fault in the ECM itself
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the cruise control button panel is not damaged or sticking
- 3If you have diagnostic equipment: read the coast signal in live data and check that it changes when the coast button is used
- 4Check that the connectors at the lever assembly and the engine control module are firmly seated and not corroded
- 5If the connectors and button panel are in order, have a workshop check the CAN signal and the engine control module (ECM)
Symptoms you may notice1
- Cruise control does not engage
What the fault can affect1
- The cruise control function is switched off
