What does this fault code mean?
The ECM checks the internal functions of the cruise control. If the module finds serious faults in the cruise control function, the code is set and the cruise control is switched off. The code is checked while the engine is running.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connector blades
- Fault in the CAN network
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment: read the diagnostic status and fault status for the code with the engine running and see whether the fault is still active
- 3Check the connector blades belonging to the cruise control for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop check the CAN network and the cruise control function
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
What the fault can affect1
- The cruise control function does not work
