What does this fault code mean?
The ECM monitors the cruise control function internally. The code concerns invalid data for the cruise control input, and for serious faults the cruise control is switched off. The code is tested while the engine is running.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connector blades
- Fault in the CAN network
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment: read the fault status with the engine running and see whether the fault is still active
- 3Look at the connectors in the cruise control circuit and check for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop check the CAN network
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
What the fault can affect1
- The cruise control function does not work
