What does this fault code mean?
The ECM monitors the cruise control function through the signals and components that belong to it. If the signal from the front monitoring module (FSM) is faulty, the code is set, and it is tested with the engine running.
Possible causes
- The fault may lie in the front monitoring module (FSM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment: read the fault codes in the front monitoring module (FSM) and deal with them first
- 3Check that the connectors in the signal path to the FSM are firmly seated and not corroded
- 4Clear the code only once the root fault in the FSM has been dealt with and cleared
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop look for the fault in the front monitoring module (FSM)
