What does this fault code mean?
The ECM receives cruise control information from several other control modules over CAN. The code concerns a signal that is judged to be implausible, and for serious faults in the cruise control function it is set and the cruise control is switched off.
Possible causes
- Fault in the cruise control function
- Active fault codes for the cruise control function
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment: read the fault status for the cruise control and see whether the fault is active
- 3If you have diagnostic equipment: read out other active fault codes for the cruise control and deal with them first
- 4Clear the code and road test the car with the cruise control switched on to see whether it returns
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop look for the fault in the cruise control function
Symptoms you may notice1
- Cruise control does not engage
