What does this fault code mean?

The ECM controls the shutter in the grille through the active grille shutter module (AGM). The code is set when the distance between the shutter's end positions is greater than it should be. The shutter has to move between open and closed before the fault can be detected.

Possible causes

The mechanical link between the shutter rails and the grille shutter module (AGM) is disconnected

What you can do

1Check that the fuses are intact
2Check that the link between the shutter rails and the module is connected and has not come loose
3If you have diagnostic equipment: read out active fault codes in the grille shutter module (AGM) and deal with them first
4If you have diagnostic equipment: activate the shutter and check that it moves between open and closed
5If the link is intact and the fault remains, have a workshop check the shutter and the module
