What does this fault code mean?
The fault is set when the AGM registers that parts inside it are overheated. It is usually temporary, but long periods of overheating can leave lasting damage to the components.
Possible causes
- Overheating of the internal components in the grille shutter module (AGM)
- Prolonged overheating can permanently damage the internal components
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 3If you have diagnostic equipment: read out active fault codes in the grille shutter module (AGM) and deal with them first
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop check the grille shutter module (AGM)
Symptoms you may notice1
- Fuel consumption is abnormally high
What the fault can affect1
- The cooling fan speed is set by a calculated value and may be somewhat higher than usual, depending on outside and engine temperature and A/C pressure
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
