- Damaged engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the connector at the engine control module is firmly seated and not corroded
- 3If you have diagnostic equipment: read the fault status with the engine running and see whether the fault is active
- 4Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop replace the engine control module (ECM)
