What does this fault code mean?
The ECM monitors the fuel system and checks the signal from the injectors, and the code is set when that signal is wrong with the engine running. The code does not state a more specific fault type. Causes can be injectors of the wrong type, faulty software or a damaged module.

- Damaged ECM
- Damaged injectors, or injectors of the wrong type
- Faulty software in the ECM
What you can do
- 1Read the code with the ignition on and note whether it is active right now
- 2Check that the battery is charged and that the battery terminals and earth connections are tight and clean
- 3Check that the connectors at the injectors are tight and free from corrosion
- 4If the fault comes back, have a workshop check the injectors with diagnostic equipment and reload the software in the ECM. If that does not help, the module needs replacing

- Malfunction indicator lamp (check engine) comes on or behaves abnormally
- Warning symbol and message in the display
- The engine runs poorly and lacks power
- The engine hesitates, surges or runs roughly during acceleration or deceleration
- The engine cranks but does not start
