What does this fault code mean?
The ECM has recorded a fault in an internal A/D converter, and the signals being compared do not agree. The code is set when the fault is found at ignition on.
Possible causes
- Fault in the charging system
- Internal fault in the ECM
- If ECM-P060B16 is also stored: battery voltage too low
What you can do
- 1Read the code with the ignition on and note whether it is active right now
- 2Check that the battery terminals and earth connections are tight and clean
- 3Have a workshop check the charging system with diagnostic equipment
- 4If the fault still comes back, have a workshop replace the engine control module

- The engine does not crank when starting and no clicking sound is heard
- The engine stalls
- The car feels weak and lacks power
- The engine hesitates, surges or runs roughly during acceleration or deceleration
