What does this fault code mean?
The ECM has recorded a general memory fault, which means that a fault has occurred in an internal electrical component of the module. The code is set when the module detects the fault.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the ECM
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition on, wait a while and read the code. Clear it and see whether it returns
- 2Check that the battery has enough charge and that the connectors at the ECM are tight
- 3If the fault comes back, have a workshop replace the engine control module
