What does this fault code mean?
Although the fault code is named for a voltage fault, the condition is a fault on the pre-pump occurring together with a wrong fuel pressure. The engine control module receives pre-pump information over CAN, and the fault may be linked to other fuel system faults, to the CEM or to the CAN network.
Possible causes
- A fault in the fuel system, where the other fuel system fault codes are traced first
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM)
- Fault related to the CAN network
- Fault codes stored at the same time: ECM-P062912, ECM-P06291D or ECM-U010900
What you can do
- 1There is no separate fault tracing for this code. Trace the other fuel system fault codes in the CEM and the engine control module instead
- 2With the ignition on, check that the pre-pump connectors and the CAN network connections are free from oxidation and looseness
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the code's status after the repair and check whether the fault is still active
- 4The code can only be cleared once the root fault is remedied and the root fault's code is cleared
- 5If the fault remains: have a workshop trace the CEM and the CAN network

- The engine lacks power
- The engine does not start, unpredictably or all the time
- The engine hesitates or surges during acceleration, and jerky running occurs sometimes or all the time
- The engine stalls during deceleration or at steady speed
