What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module checks the injector circuit while the injection is taking place. The fault code is set when the module detects a fault in the signal to the injectors, which can be caused by a short circuit in the circuit or by a damaged control module.
Possible causes
- Damaged engine control module (ECM)
- Short circuit in the circuit for the injectors
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool: run the built-in self-test for this code and check that the fault is inactive afterwards
- 2With a multimeter, check that the wires to the injectors are not short-circuited
- 3If the fault remains: have a workshop check or replace the engine control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
