What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module has built-in control systems that detect internal faults. If the monitoring registers a temporary fault in the injectors' control system, the fault code is set, and with an active fault the fuel supply is shut off. The fault can cause the engine not to start or to lack power.
Possible causes
- Signal interference
- System voltage too low
- Damaged injection valves
- Software error
- Communication problems
- Internal fault in the control module
What you can do
- 1With the ignition on, read the diagnostic status and fault status for the code
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3After the test, see whether the fault is still present
- 4Have a workshop check that the control module's software is up to date
- 5If the fault remains: have a workshop check the injection valves and the control module with diagnostic equipment
Symptoms you may notice4
- The engine does not start, sometimes or all the time
- The engine lacks power
- The engine stalls on starting
- The check engine lamp lights or behaves abnormally
What the fault can affect1
- Fuel supply is shut off while the fault is active
