What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module has built-in control systems that detect internal faults. When the monitoring registers a temporary fault in the injectors' control system, the fault code is set, and with an active fault the fuel supply is shut off. The code relates to the programming of the control module and may be connected to its software.
Possible causes
- Signal interference
- Damaged injection valves
- Software error
- Fault codes stored at the same time: ECM-P062D06, ECM-P062D92 or ECM-P062D94
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check whether the latest engine control software is loaded in the car
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the code's status after the repair and see whether it is still active
- 4If the fault remains: have a workshop correct the programming or replace the control module
Symptoms you may notice3
- The engine does not start, sometimes or all the time
- The engine lacks power, especially when pulling away from standstill
- The engine stalls on starting
What the fault can affect1
- The fuel supply is shut off while the fault is active
