What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module has built-in control systems that detect internal faults. The monitoring in the control module picks up temporary problems in the injector control, and the fault code is then set. The code concerns the control module's supervision software and may be linked to other injection fault codes.
Possible causes
- Signal interference
- System voltage too low
- Damaged injection valves
- Software error
- Communication problems
- Fault codes stored at the same time: ECM-P062D49, ECM-P062D04 or ECM-P062D86
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check that the engine control has the latest software available
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3With the ignition on: read the diagnostic status and fault status for the code and see whether the fault is still active
- 4Remedy as needed: if the fault remains, have a workshop correct the software or check the control module
Symptoms you may notice4
- The engine does not start, sometimes or all the time
- The engine lacks power
- The engine stalls on starting
- The starter motor does not turn over, but a clicking sound may be heard on starting attempts
What the fault can affect1
- Fuel supply is shut off while the fault is active
