What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module has built-in control systems for detecting internal faults. When the monitoring registers a temporary problem in the injector control, the fault code is set. The fault may come from signal interference, damaged injection valves, a software error, or from other fault codes stored at the same time.
Possible causes
- Fault codes stored at the same time: ECM-P062D06, ECM-P062D05 or ECM-P062D94
- Signal interference
- Damaged injection valves
- Software error
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool: read the diagnostic status and fault status for the code with the ignition on
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check whether other injection fault codes are stored and remedy them first
- 4Have a workshop check the injection valves and the engine control software if the fault remains
Symptoms you may notice4
- The engine does not start, sometimes or all the time
- The engine lacks power
- The engine stalls on starting
- The starter motor does not turn over on starting attempts, and a clicking sound can be heard
What the fault can affect1
- Fuel supply is shut off while the fault is active
