What does this fault code mean?

Although the fault code concerns a component fault, the condition is a current signal to the bank 2 injectors that is too low, as seen by the engine control module. It is set when the signal does not match what has been requested, and it may be due to poor contact in the injector connectors or a damaged control module.

    Possible causes

    • Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
    • Damaged engine control module (ECM)

    What you can do

    1. 1Check that the connectors at the bank 2 injectors are secure and free from oxidation
    2. 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read the status of the code after the repair
    3. 3If the fault remains after these checks: have a workshop replace the control module or check it

    Symptoms you may notice3

    • The engine does not start, sometimes or all the time
    • The engine is hard to start and the starter motor cranks slowly, sometimes or all the time
    • The check engine lamp lights or behaves abnormally

General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
