What does this fault code mean?
The code carries the bank 2 oxygen sensor processor name, yet the condition is about the signal to the A/C compressor's control valve. The ECM monitors the signal that drives the valve (solenoid), and when that signal is incorrect the code is set.
Possible causes
- Signal cable shorted to supply voltage
- Signal cable shorted to ground
- Open circuit in the voltage supply
- Damaged control valve (solenoid)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the signal cables are not shorted to supply voltage or ground and have no open circuit
- 3The control valve is fitted beneath the compressor body; check that its connector is secure
- 4If you have diagnostic equipment, activate the A/C compressor and see whether the control valve responds
- 5If the wiring is intact but the fault remains, have a workshop check the control valve
