What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) measures its own internal temperature with a temperature sensor built into the module. The code is set when the signal from that sensor is wrong, and it concerns temperature A inside the module.
Possible causes
- Damaged engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1If you have diagnostic equipment, read the fault status once the module's internal test has run to completion
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment, read the module's internal temperature in live data and see whether the value looks unrealistic
- 3If the fault returns after the code has been cleared, have a workshop check or replace the engine control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
