What does this fault code mean?
The control module monitors the voltage supply to several different components. The code is set if one or more of them lose their voltage supply. The fault may lie in a short circuit to the throttle module position sensor, the particle filter differential pressure sensor or the EGR valve.
Possible causes
- The voltage supply is short-circuited to the throttle module position sensor, the particle filter differential pressure sensor or the EGR valve
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault code, and start the engine to see whether it returns
- 2Check the fuses for the supply to the sensors and the valve in the owner's manual
- 3Look at the connectors to the throttle position sensor, the differential pressure sensor and the EGR valve for loose contacts, oxidation and chafing
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wiring to these has no contact with voltage, with the connectors disconnected
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the affected sensors and the valve
Symptoms you may notice1
- Engine does not start, sometimes or all the time
