What does this fault code mean?
The code concerns a mechanical fault in the clutch pedal contact. The engine control module counts how many times the pedal is pressed, and the code is set if the clutch has not been pressed at least three times during the same drive while the vehicle speed has varied.
Possible causes
- Fault-trace the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault code, and test-drive to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the clutch pedal moves freely and does not stick
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the clutch pedal position in live data and check that the value changes when the pedal is pressed
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop read and correct the fault in the central electronic module (CEM)
Symptoms you may notice3
- Cruise control cannot be engaged
- Autostart does not work
- Warning symbol and text message in the display
