What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module compares the signals from the clutch pedal position sensor and the position switch. The code is set when the signal from the position sensor is incorrect, and the signals then do not agree with each other.
Possible causes
- Look for the fault cause in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault code, and test-drive to see whether it returns
- 2Look at the connectors and wiring at the clutch pedal and the position switch for loose contacts and oxidation
- 3If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop check the central electronic module (CEM) and the position sensor
Symptoms you may notice3
- Cruise control cannot be engaged
- Autostart does not work
- Warning symbol and text message in the display
