What does this fault code mean?
The code is set when the clutch position sensor does not deliver any valid signal. The signal travels via the central electronic module (CEM) and over CAN to the engine control module, and fault-tracing starts there.
Possible causes
- Look for the fault cause in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault code and test-drive to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the clutch pedal and its contact are firmly fitted and that the wiring is intact
- 3Look at the connectors at the clutch pedal for loose contacts and oxidation
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the central electronic module (CEM) and the position sensor
Symptoms you may notice2
- Auto-start does not work
- Cruise control does not function
