What does this fault code mean?
The code indicates that the frequency of the signal from neutral position sensor B is wrong. The sensor works with a frequency- and pulse-modulated signal, and the engine control module monitors it while automatic stop-start is active.
Possible causes
- Damaged neutral position sensor B
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. The locations are shown in the instruction manual or on the fuse list
- 2Check that the connector at neutral position sensor B is firmly seated and free from looseness and oxidation
- 3Check that the sensor is firmly fixed to the gearbox and is not damaged
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, check in live data that the value for sensor B moves from one position to another when the gear lever is moved
- 5Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check neutral position sensor B if the fault remains
