What does this fault code mean?
The code is event-controlled and records that an engine shutdown was interrupted, for example when automatic stop-start is used. It is information that protects the starter motor and does not in itself indicate a fault in the engine control module.
Possible causes
- The code does not stem from a fault that must be corrected
What you can do
- 1No fault-tracing is needed, as the code does not stem from a fault that must be corrected
- 2If you use automatic stop-start, the code may be recorded when that function is used
- 3The code is recorded to protect the starter motor, so it is a protective function and not a fault in itself
- 4If you are unsure what the code means on your car, have a workshop read it off
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
