Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The code is named high voltage, but the condition is that the signal wire to the coolant pump is shorted or has a break, or that the pump has another fault that prevents cooling. If the pump does not work, the high-voltage battery is not cooled.
Possible causes
- Damaged pump
- Short circuit or break in the wiring to the pump
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault code with the ignition on and check whether it is still active
- 2Check that the fuses are intact. The locations are shown in the instruction manual or on the fuse list
- 3Where possible, check on a test drive that HYBRID mode works normally, to establish the status of the fault
- 4Have a workshop check the pump and its wiring. Cooling of the hybrid system is a workshop task
Symptoms you may notice2
- The combustion engine is active in HYBRID mode more often than normal, or all the time
- A message and a warning symbol are shown in the display
