Applies to the following models:

Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The code concerns the coolant circuit temperature sensor, and the condition is that the signal wire to the sensor is shorted or has a break. Although the code is named low, it is the wire that counts, and the engine control module checks that the sensor signal is reasonable.
Possible causes
- Damaged temperature sensor
- Short circuit or break in the wiring to the temperature sensor
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault code status with the ignition on and check whether it is still active
- 2Check that the fuses are intact. The locations are shown in the instruction manual or on the fuse list
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, check in live data that the coolant circuit temperature changes sensibly while the engine runs
- 4Have a workshop investigate the temperature sensor. Do not work on the hybrid system's wiring yourself
Symptoms you may notice3
- The combustion engine is active in HYBRID mode more often than normal, or all the time
- Cooling runs all the time, with the electric cooling fan on
- A message and a warning symbol are shown in the display
