What does this fault code mean?
The code relates to the narrow-range throttle position sensor. The ECM has logged an internal fault, but the cause may be a poorly charged battery or corroded connection cables. If the fault remains, the control module itself needs replacing.

- Poorly charged battery
- Corroded connection cables
- Damaged engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the battery is adequately charged and that the battery terminals and cables are clean and firmly connected
- 2Clear the code and road test to see whether it returns
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the fault status after the diagnosis has run. Malfunction found means the fault is present now
- 4If the fault returns despite these checks: have a workshop check and, if needed, replace the engine control module
