What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the fuel quantity in the tank. The code is set when the level is below the low limit. A function that stops air entering the fuel system then makes the engine run poorly through a simulated misfire, and engine output and speed are limited.
Possible causes
- Fuel level in tank too low
What you can do
- 1Look at the fuel level in the tank and top up if it is low
- 2Road test after refuelling and read the code to see whether it returns
- 3If the code returns even though the tank holds fuel: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment look at the fault in more detail
Symptoms you may notice3
- Poor performance and lack of power, including at take-off
- Hesitation, surging or jerky running during acceleration, deceleration and at steady speed
- Text message and warning symbol in the display
What the fault can affect3
- Engine output and speed are limited
- Torque is limited
- Soot particles are no longer burned off
