What does this fault code mean?

This is an event-controlled code, intended as information, and it is not a sign of a fault in the control module where it is active. Although the code is named as a rotor calibration fault, it concerns the front oxygen sensor on bank 2. It is set when lambda reads too low or too high for a while. The code can be caused by overfilling the fuel tank.

    Possible causes

    • The fuel tank has been overfilled
    • Liquid fuel can then enter the EVAP hoses and get pulled into the engine when the EVAP valve opens and venting occurs, which briefly gives the engine too much fuel

    What you can do

    1. 1The code does not need a repair in itself, so do not look for a fault for it
    2. 2Check whether the tank was filled above normal level at refuelling, since that may explain the code

    Symptoms you may notice1

    • No noticeable symptoms for the driver

General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
