What does this fault code mean?
This is an event-controlled code, intended as information, and it does not indicate a fault in the control module where it is active. It is set when the oil gets too hot and stays that way for a while. Although it is named as an oil overtemperature fault, it concerns the oil temperature, and engine output can be limited when the oil is too hot.
