What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) supplies the fuel injectors with a raised voltage through two integrated power stages and checks the voltage across them when fuel supply is cut off. The code is set when the module finds that this voltage is too high. It can only be read during certain driving situations where fuel supply is cut off.
Possible causes
- Return line from the injectors is damaged or blocked
- Wiring shorted to ground or to supply voltage
- Damaged fuel injector
What you can do
- 1Check the fuses for the engine management system
- 2Check that the fuel return hoses are not damaged, kinked or blocked
- 3Check the injector wiring for chafing and damage
- 4Test the injectors with diagnostic equipment and replace any faulty injector
Symptoms you may notice2
- Engine lacks power and runs unevenly
- Message in the display
What the fault can affect1
- Engine output and speed may be limited
